After the Horse: Why I love Rat Bikes
The other thing that so attracted me to creating this piece, was the way that the oils burnt on the pipes created a variety of golds and browns. Piece may be dirty looking to some, but to me it was full of color, texture and pattern. It was a huge challenge to create an abstract acylic piece that looked very much like its photo.
It is also a beloved piece because of the memories that it brings. Anyone who knows and loves their bikes....or knows and loves what their biker loves....understands. It is the smells, sounds and memories that make the bike and make this piece.
